Tui Class's Liiturgy on St Joseph

On Friday 18th  of March Tui Class lead the celebration of St Joseph's feast day. We had learned that St Joseph was a gentle, quiet father who had a special obeying faith. Some of us read out prayers and readings. We drew our fathers and shared what we liked doing with our fathers. It was fabulous to have so many Dads and Mums there too!

Wheels Day

On Friday we had a wheels day at school. People were using Ripsticks, Scooters, Skateboards, Roller blades and Heelies. The court looked like a road. People were very excited and they were having a great time. We thought it was fantastic that the senior students organised the wheels day.

Purple cake day

 Emily’s Purple Pancake Poem

Purple cake day has made me think about helping children in need all around the world.

Purple is a colour that is made of red and blue.
Pink is a close relation of purple it is made of red and white.
Purple Cake Day was made by another Emily, when her family died in the Haiti earthquake.

We should pray a lot for the people of Haiti and Christchurch whose houses have been knocked down.

Purple cake day is about helping children all around the world.

I can do this by:
Traveling around the world and helping people and by donating to needy people and informing people around the Saint Paul’s community that it is Purple Cake Day and by eating some
Purple Cakes!!!!

The Aquarium at Mapua

We were very excited to be going to the Aquarium at Mapua. We saw crayfish, eels, stingray, snapper, squid, starfish, anemone, clown fish, baby sharks, seahorses red eared turtles! We made Maori fish hooks and used a Maori drill. We saw a crayfish being caught. We were able to put our hands into the pools of sea water and touch the fish. The stingray kept coming up to the glass to say hello. We had a great time at the aquarium and afterwards we had a picnic lunch at the Mapua Domain.
